Canada 5

Hello! It is officially day 5 in our Canadian trip! For breakfast, we went to Starbucks, because the hotel didn’t serve food and there weren’t a lot of places you can go for breakfast. After that, we drove back into the car ferry for a short ride back to the ferry-port. When we got back, we took a car ride to Richmond, which was kind of far, we reached there by about lunch time and went to the Aberdeen shopping mall on Hazelbridgeway.

We ate dim sum in the mall which was like an Asian shopping mall, which was really cool because there’s not a big Asian community from where I come fro Continue reading

Canada 4

Hello it is currently day 4 in Canada! Yesterday we were driving for about 13 hours, but the scenery was really beautiful with all the mountains and lakes around us! We had McDonald’s for lunch where we had our first poutine in 2 years because there is no such thing as poutine in America! Poutine is fries with gravy poured over it and topped with cheese curds. It might sound kind of gross, but it’s actually pretty good! For dinner, we had Mai’s Vietnamese which was really tasty, but we went at 9 p.m. because of the long drive. Afterwards, we went to the Holiday Inn Hotel. It was old-fashioned, but pretty. The rooms were much nicer than we expected, like a mini Continue reading

Canada 1!

Hello guys! It is day 1 in Canada, and I am in Edmonton writing to you guys right now, our first flight was around 6:00 a.m. to Minneapolis. After that, we had 4 hours to spare, so we went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast since I only had half a cinnamon bun before we left for the airport. At Chick-fil-a, I had the spicy chicken sandwich with super sour lemonade and small hash brown bites. The sandwich was pretty good, because it had a thick, fluffy, and buttery biscuit (bun)! We were planning on heading to the Mall of America, but it was too far and we didn’t have time to go there. We just decided to explore around the airport, there were quite a few kiosks and gifts shops there! Apparently, the airplane was “overbooked,” so we had to wait for someone to give up their seats. Luckily, some generous people gave up enough seats and we were soon on our 4-hour flight! I think it was the smoothest landing I had ever experienced! Afterwards, we went to my grandparent’s house with some of my cousins, aunts, and uncles. When the rest of our cousins arrived, we went to a place called Golden Rice Bowl to celebrate my grandma’s birthday! They had some good foods like creamy lobster, spicy crab, walnut chicken, and more! Afterwards, our cousins took us to go out to bubble tea, where I tried mango green tea. The place was called Coco, and there was a really cool layout! We headed back to our grandparents house and ate a really good taro cake! We just stayed up until 1:00, talking all day, so that is why i’m posting this today.

Canada 14

Hello!! I am currently in Starbucks, and I love this Strawberry Acai Refresher! I also really like the Strawberries n’ Creme and the Mango Black Tea Lemonade! Anyways, you’re probably wondering why I named this post “Canada 14” well, I’M GOING TO CANADA  FOR 2 WEEKS! Yay!!!! We will be visiting Edmonton and I don’t really know the details yet, but I’m excited to say that I will be trying to post some things while I’m in Canada! I think the flight starts at about 5:30 a.m.! Along the way, we will be stopping in Minneapolis for about 2 or 3 hours, which is awesome, because I love Minneapolis!! Especially The Mall of America and Ikea! Which they don’t have near where I live. I haven’t really  gone anywhere this summer incase you’re wondering, because we are saving up for our big trip to Singapore next year! Anyway, I would hate to ruin everything that I’m going to blog about in Canada, but I’m telling you I’m excited!

tell me where you are going this summer. Or are you doing a stay-cation this year?
